CCC’s PUSH FOR YOUR TUSH SPARKS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE TORONTO PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS ASSOCIATION
Most people do not know that cancer is the number one cause of death among firefighters in Canada. Firefighters are exposed to various carcinogens in their work and are at increased risk for developing cancers, such as colorectal cancer, compared to the general population. Colorectal Cancer Canada’s annual fundraising 5K walk/10K run – Push For Your Tush – and the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters Association (TPFFA) are joining forces to spread the message that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable, and beatable!
“We’re proud to be supporting this year’s inaugural ‘Firefighter’s Challenge’,” says Frank Ramagnano, TPFFA President. “We encourage other firefighters in Ontario and across Canada to participate in their local ‘Push For Your Tush’ events in support of Colorectal Cancer Canada.” On Thursday, April 25, CCC and TPFFA held a joint media event to announce the Firefighter’s Challenge.
