Quebec Screening Round Tables

For more than 10 years, Colorectal Cancer Canada has been advocating for the implementation of a colorectal cancer screening program in Quebec. The program was created, but in practice it has not really been implemented because screening is still done opportunistically by the family doctor. 

It is with this in mind that Colorectal Cancer Canada has launched the Québec screening program to strengthen its initiative. The program aims to accelerate the establishment of the screening program and to achieve a screening rate of 60%. 

To do this, Colorectal Cancer Canada (CCC) has brought together key players in the fight against colorectal cancer in Quebec for two round tables in July and September 2022. In April 2023, following Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé announced that he would soon announce the establishment of a provincial colorectal cancer screening program. At Colorectal Cancer Canada, we continue to work hard to achieve our goal. Exciting news coming!
